Increase Traffic with Poll Sharing Options

The ability to share ideas and get feedback is what makes the internet go around. Did you know that by enabling the sharing function on your poll, you can allow participants to share it on Twitter, Facebook, and Digg, just to name a few? Additionally, the sharing function allows participants to share via email and offers an easy way for participants to bookmark your poll to return later. In today’s post, we’ll walk through how to enable sharing.

First you need to create your poll.

Next to enable sharing on your poll, hover over the title of your poll in your dashboard and click on Edit:

Scroll down below Poll Styles to Poll Options. On the far right-hand side, you’ll see an option for Sharing:

Click on the checkbox to enable sharing. Be sure to click on the blue Update Poll button for the change to take effect:

Now, when you embed your poll on a website, you’ll see a Share This link on the poll:

Clicking on the Share This link reveals three options: Share/Save, Email, and Bookmark.

The Share/Save tab allows participants to share the poll on various social media sites:

The Email tab offers a mechanism for participants to share the poll with others via email:

Lastly, the Bookmark tab allows an easy mechanism for Mac and Windows users to bookmark the poll to return to it later:
