Just like Magic: Set your Poll to Close Automatically

Did you know that you can set your Polldaddy poll to close automatically, at a time you choose? It’s a snap to set up. Let’s walk through how to do it. First, you need to create a poll.

Once you’ve got your poll set up, scroll down to Poll Options, toward the bottom of the poll editing screen. There, you’ll see an option for Poll Closing. The default setting is Never Close. Click on the dropdown to reveal the option for Close After a Certain Date:

Next, you’ll see date and time options revealed:

We’ve set our poll to close at 9:00 p.m. on September 30th, 2011. Once you’ve selected the time and date you’d like your poll to close, be sure to click on the blue, Update Poll button:

Note that the poll closing time is based on the time zone you’ve selected in your Polldaddy.com dashboard. To double-check your time zone, click on My Account, located under your name in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard:

On the right-hand side of your Account page, you’ll see some options for Location. You’ll see options to change your Time Zone, Dashboard Language, and your Country. Make changes as you see fit and be sure to click on the blue Save Location button for your changes to take effect:
