Embedding Your Survey as Website Pop-Up
There are several different ways you can use to get your survey out to participants. In today’s post, we’re going to cover how to embed your survey as a website pop-up, as either a banner, button, or slider. These embed methods work identically with quizzes. Let’s go through the choices, using a survey as a sample.
To get started, hover over the title of your survey in your dashboard and click Embed:
You’ll see a list of embedding options on the left-hand side of the pop-up. Select Website Popup:
You’ll see three choices. The button is the default setting. There’s also banner and slider popup options:
Button pop-up options
When you choose to embed your survey in a button, it will be shown in a pop-up when the participant clicks the button. You can choose to have that button appear as a plain link, as a square button, or as a button with rounded corners:
You can choose to change the call to action, otherwise known as the text that invites participants to take your survey:
Additionally, you can change the color of the text and the background color of the button if you wish. Simply click on the color wheel, or click inside the background color box:
When you’re ready to embed, you can copy the WordPress.com shortcode, if you have a WordPress.com site, and paste it into the post or page on which you’d like to have the survey:
Or, if you’re on another platform, you can copy the JavaScript code, and paste it into the location on your site where you’d like to place the survey:
Embedding your survey as a banner
We offer a great little banner embed that you can have as a slash across the corners of your site, or as a tab that sticks out from the browser on either the right or left-hand side, based on your choice:
You can choose to customize the call to action text as well and/or choose to have it appear as a tab on your site. Additionally, you can change the colors of text and the banner’s background color:

Embedding your survey as a slider
The third pop-up embed option is a slider that slips into view when a visitor lands on your website, inviting them to take your survey:
You can customize the text within the slider as well as on the slider’s button.
